Primark Wishlist #2 | April 2017

Hola, everyone!

So in January when I was posting quite regular before becoming extremely busy, I did a Primark wishlist and had so much fun doing it. I did actually get some of the products I listed because well, it would have been rude not to!! Here is my first wishlist, do check it out: Primark wishlist #1

HOMEWARE

As you can probably work out, I am a home-ware addict. Although I live in a shared house which I can't really decorate, there's no harm in future planning for my own flat, right? Well, that's exactly what I'm doing. Primark does the BEST home-ware for reasonable pricing too. I do have plans to go Primark in the next couple of weeks to explore and pick up the majority of the things above, I mean; they're so pretty to look at, don't you agree? Makes me super excited to actually get my own place in the near future!

Find all the Home-ware here:

CLOTHING

I'm no fashion expert, nor do I intend to be. If anything, I dress more for comfort and for my body type rather than to impress. I much prefer comfortable and trendy clothing, nothing to barbaric, but something a little different to everyone else. Browsing through the Primark Website was quite disappointing as their products are limited on there, so a visit to the store is definitely in order once I pay all my bills... (Priorities, right?) I LOVE everything I have chosen to show above, I can see myself wearing it all. Some smart, some casual, some comfortable bed wear. Can't go wrong really!!

ACCESSORIES

Again, as I've said above the website itself was limited to what was in store... BUT I found some things I freaking love, I've already bought the sunglasses as a few weeks ago I just fell in love. Seriously though, can we just admire the Prosecco lip balm though?! A M A Z I N G. Last year, I went into Primark and bought a backpack which was literally the love of my life... jokes aside it was my saviour but recently broke along with my heart. So I have been looking through Primark's selection and I only found two that could be a potential use for riding around on my bike as my handbag just isn't appropriate. What are your favourite accessories?

Mark Hill Product Review | 2017

Hola, everyone!

So throughout January, I decided to treat myself to some new hair products as I was graduating the University of Lincoln and wanted my hair to remain somewhat straight throughout the day. I'm pleased that it did to some degree (no pun intended) but the rainy weather started to ruin my sleek look and it didn't help wearing a mortarboard cap... which flattened my little quiff. I've previously used Mark Hill hair products a few years ago, a volumising spray but had little to no knowledge in how to amplify my hair or even tame it at that point. Since then I have got a bit better, so while in boots in January I decided to try out the latest products and try them out. Also had browsed Instagram and came across the Mark Hill Hair Instagram account giving into temptation. And, because the colours of the packaging caught my attention (guilty...)

So yeah, trying this product had me a little nervous as I've obviously only used one product by this brand before but even then I didn't know how to use it. I was one of these people that didn't experiment with their hair, I did it a certain way at uni and that was "my look"... I'm probably not making sense but if you're following what I'm saying then that's a bonus. But yeah, anyways, I tried this product out and was very hyped by the result.

As you can see from the pictures above from my Graduation Day, my hair is somewhat straight. This for me is an achievement on its own as whenever my hair gets straightened it NEVER stays how I style it. So using the Sleek Straight Spray has definitely helped my hair a lot. I didn't actually use the other spray in the photo for my graduation day, but I did afterwards a few days later. I didn't really understand what the UV Shield was going to do, so I gave it a chance and it's kept my hair colour intact (I'm naturally blonde) & demolishing my lighter roots, which makes me really happy!!
Would I recommend these products? erm..... HELL YEAH. Although I was apprehensive about using them, it just shows you that you never know unless you try. Mark Hill, you've done well. Hats off to you, sir. Anyways, that's my review on the product. But I urge you to try these amazing products as you will not be disappointed.

Primark Wishlist | 2017

Hola, everyone!

Recently, I have found myself browsing on various websites for homeware-related items for my house. If I haven't mentioned already, I live in a shared house at the moment which is quite awesome, just until I save enough for my own flat/house. I have a big bedroom, with very little storage so I decided to browse on the Primark website and let's just say, I fell in love and wanted to blog about it!

It's no lie that Primark has released a gorgeous selection of homeware to kick-start the new year. I chose some of the best one's to include in my post as they all just compliment each other and will no doubt make my living space look incredible. I will link everything at the end if you wanna check it out! :) My favourite thing I saw was, in fact, the Copper Metal Grid Photo Holder. I just love the style of it, and I'm a sucker for copper/rose gold items, have been for years. So seeing this got me all warm and bursting with love, literally. I also have loads of photo's from my time at uni that I'd like to add to my walls, but I also like the photo's that are in fact on it... like how pretty?! Suppose a decision will be made soon.

I need storage such as baskets to put towels in, or loose bits that don't currently have an assigned home. I need to hang my coats up on my door and my dressing gowns etc. you get the point. Basically, I have limited storage units and I currently use the shelf in my wardrobe for stuff that doesn't need to be there. I also don't have much space for clothes when my coats etc are in there, so I have chosen the Copper new 5 shaped heart hook, that goes on the back of a door to keep things out the way. I had a similar one in uni, but I can't for the life of me remember what I've done with it.

The last few bits were to fill out space I have on my units to make them pretty and mainly because I liked them, a lot. I will link them below on where to find them. I think once I get paid on Monday, I will venture into town and pick up these items to decorate my bedroom all homely. I also needed to get organised so these items definitely play the part, don't you think? I will hopefully do more homeware wishlists, but for my first one, I thought I'd keep it simple and short :)

Thanks for reading!

What's in my November Birchbox? | 2016

* This post is not an AD, all opinions are my own. All photos are my own unless stated otherwise *

This month's Birchbox was actually a lot more different than last months. I've seen a lot of people complain recently about how they were disappointed that they weren't getting enough in their box or wasn't adapting to their products. I personally thought this box was pretty awesome, yes, there weren't many products but you still get your monies worth. After all, it's not about how much you get, it's about what you get and if you like it... right?

The first product I tried was the Nuxe crème Prodigieuse (RRP £21*)
After a sleepless night, I reached for this. It refreshes your complexion to boost the skin's antioxidant levels, restores hydration and boosts tired skin. Just by applying it to your face and neck in circular motions, you begin to feel more alert and awake, which at 6am in the morning is great! The only downside for me was the scent of it, it became a bit too strong at one point and gave me a headache. I think I may have used too much but it is an amazing product to use!

When it comes to looking after your hair, it can be stressful. A few days ago I washed my hair after feeling crappy that day and reached for the Beauty Protector - Protect and Detangle (RRP £18.50*)
My hair is like mermaid hair on a good day, but it becomes greasy and dry so quickly, which I hate. The bottle smells so frickin' good it's unreal. I just sit there on my bed occasionally and smell it, is that weird...? ha. After washing my hair, I sprayed this in my hair. As it's a leave in conditioner, I was a bit scared. BUT, it has kept my hair from getting greasy, dry and icky. In fact, it has made my hair more vibrant and smell fantastic. As a first impression, I absolutely love this product. It has made my hair so much healthier. I would definitely recommend this to everyone especially those who have dry hair, it is a miracle worker! Thumbs up to Birchbox :)

Hairbrushes can be hard to find, especially ones suited for your hair type. Wet Brush (RRP £11.99*) leaves your hair looking elegant, that's for sure.
Start by brushing your hair from the bottom and work your way up to the top on wet or dry hair, it will make it so nice and soft. I was apprehensive about trying this as my hair falls out all the time whenever I brush it. It even did so when I used this but it hurt less.

One thing I despise about winter is when my lips get split and chapped. I used the Lip Tar (RRP £15*)
Which is a primer for your lips. Cruelty-free also, which is a bonus. However, I haven't reached for this as often as I have with my vaseline as I forgot. When I did use it, it felt great sending my lips so soft. It has actually nourished my lips so much that they aren't that rough compared to last week. I would definitely recommend this lip product if you're looking for something cruelty-free and a product that actually works for dry lips, use this! you won't look back.

Last but not least, Marcelle Golden Glow Illuminator (RRP £25.50*)
I've never used an illuminator before so this was a total risk. After applying it, I noticed a difference straight away. You can wear it on its own or with a foundation. I decided to apply a foundation over it and immediately I saw the glow it gave my skin underneath. I would definitely be purchasing this again, but the bigger version... it's left my skin feeling clear and less rough. I couldn't be more pleased. If you want to try it out then, by all means, do. It is a great cover up especially with tiredness underneath the eyes.

My favourite product out of the box has to be the Beauty Protector leave in conditioner. It has catered my hair nicely and I can't wait to buy the bigger bottle and use it in my everyday routines.

Thanks for reading, see you soon :)

Candle Haul and Favourites | 2016

* This post is not an AD, all opinions are my own. All photo's are my own unless stated otherwise *

Recently I have been loving a range of different candles. If you read my posts last year, you'll know that I love berry scented candles. This year I have branched out and discovered a range of different scents and want to share my favourite ones with you guys. :)

1) Glade - Timeless Joy, Warm Spiced Orange

Autumn is probably one of my favourite seasons of the year, other than Winter. It's that time where all the sweet but warm scents are released to make your house smell amazing. This candle has literally been the one I burn all the time in the evening as it makes my room smell incredible. I have just gone through my first one and have bought another one, as I'm so in love with the scent. It smells like heaven in a candle.. but no, it smells like a really sweet orange but with a warmer, smell that lingers. Before even lighting it, it makes your house/bedroom smell incredible. I'm so upset that it's a limited edition one, as I love it so much but hopefully, I can find something similar in the future.

2) Glade - Honey and Chocolate

Okay, so this scent is a very unusual scent for me to have in a candle variety. But when I was shopping I came across it and instantly loved the scent of it. It smells more of chocolate than honey, but it's a light smell and makes your house smell like a chocolate factory, which I believe to be incredible. I haven't yet lit this candle but I'm so eager to one day this week.

3) George Home - Wild Berry

I don't usually go exploring around Asda for their own brand candles but when I and my best friend went the other day, I came across this one. It's a lot sweeter than the others but smells incredibly warm. Wildberry or frost berry candles are my ultimate favourite, so I chose this one and hopefully it makes my house smell lovely.

4) Tesco - Spiced Berry

My mum actually introduced me to this candle. I kept taking hers and sitting in her living room smelling the candle for like an hour. It's just that good! So I bought my own when I was last in Tesco & as you can see in the photo, I have used it and it smells like an orgasm in a jar, not even kidding. This is probably my all time favourite after the Spiced Orange candle it smells so incredible. As winter is fast approaching, this candle is ideal for any month really but especially around Autumn/Winter.

If you want to try any of the candles above, then check out Asda and Tesco supermarkets before they sell out. My "J" candle, unfortunately, burnt completely weird and I now just keep it for decoration. Hope you enjoyed this post and I hope it's helped to discover some low-budget candles for the colder months ahead. :)

Candle Heaven

As it's Autumn, I have tried so hard to stop buying candles. But I just can't. I am obsessed! So as per usual, when I was in Primark, I went straight to the homeware section and went crazy.

All photo's in this post, were taken by myself, Jade Kelly. DO NOT take without permission.

I think during autumn, I just obsess over the cosiness of the season itself, as I love being warm and cosy. These candles definitely smell too good!! Also, how cute is my desk set-up?? :P

Red berry & Jasmine candle - £3.50
Blackcurrant and Forest plum candle - £1.00 (each)

Autumn | Primark and Lush Haul

Autumn is by far one of my favourite seasons of the year, it's so snuggly and Halloween, Bonfire night & Christmas are fast approaching! I also love it for the candles. I am OBSESSED! Yankee candles are by far my favourite, but then again Primark do some lovely ones too, as do many other shops.

Today was payday for me, and after a hard struggling month of stress, I decided that today I would cheer myself up massively & treat myself. So it's exactly what I did. I went to Lush & Primark (two of my favourite shops!!) and picked up a few things, as I didn't want to over-do it and become a shopaholic again, like in February this year. (my bad)

Here's what I purchased:

All above photo's taken by myself (Jade Kelly) Unless otherwise stated

Primark:

Rose Gold Candle Holder: £2.50
Christmas Candle: £1.50
Blanket/Throw: £12

Lush:

Facial Cleanser: £7.25
Toner Water: £4.25

Whilst in Primark, I always hover around the home section. I have no clue to why, but it just makes me feel happy. So today I took advantage and purchased my items. OMFG at the blanket/throw whatever you want to call it.. IT'S THE SOFTEST THING EVER AND SO CUDDLY AND WOW SOFTNESS. It makes me happy. And my obsession for candles, is continuing.

Moving onto Lush: I feel like I will have to do a review as I haven't used their facial products before, but I'm super excited to whack them on and see how it treats my skin. I've never really suffered from spots or blemishes, ever.. But I do sometimes, get dry skin and it drives me insane. I put some on my arm in the shop, well the sales advisor did, and I fell inlove!!!! (I won't say with what or who, lol just kidding)
But yeah, I also went for the 'Cupcake' face mask as it smells amazing. As they don't have any more tubs in stock (due to being so popular) Lush gave me a sample and I'm so excited to use it.

I feel like in these types of posts, I ramble on.. But they're fun. I get too excited !
What are your Autumn essentials??
