Books I Got For My 25th Birthday!

I've sworn to myself a thousand times I will start reading properly again, or when starting to read a book, getting so drawn in with it you stop for a 'break' then never return to it, G U I L T Y. I'm that person... oops.
So for my 25th, all that I wanted was to get a collection of books and begin to get lost in them.
My family and partner pulled through and made me so happy helping me get my hands on JoJo Moyes' 'Me before you' collection. Since I was young, I've always loved reading - if you ever read the Jacqueline Wilson books, you'll agree to them being addictive and very adventurous. (If you know, you know).

This collection was a starting point for me to fall in love with reading again as it is very gripping, full of emotion and extremely romancified which is what I crave in a good book, which may not be everyone's cup of tea but I love a good romantic story.
If you've seen the film 'Me Before You', you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, then take my word for it when I say, JoJo will make you bawl your eyes out!
For me, I love that within a book. It's important for me to feel the emotion of the characters and to follow the storyline with ease until it gets to 3am and you've been so lost in the book you've skipped half your bedtime. That's when I know I'm reading something suited to my expectations and it gives that type of "wow" buzz throughout.

Now I've finished waffling on, thought I'd share the first three synopses' from the following;

Me Before You: Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend, Patrick. What Lou doesn't know is she's about to lose her job or knowing what's coming is what keeps her sane. (I won't give too much away!)

Me After you: Lou Clark has lots of questions. Like how it is she's ended up working in an airport bar, watching other people jet off to new places. Or why the flat she's owned for a year still doesn't feel like home. Whether her family can ever forgive her for what she did eighteen months ago. And will she ever get over the love of her life... (Again, so gripping, won't share too much!)

Still Me: Lou Clark knows too many things... She knows how many miles lie between her new home in New York and her new boyfriend Sam in London. She knows her employer is a good man and she knows his wife is keeping a secret from him. What Lou doesn't know is she's about to meet someone who's going to turn her whole life upside down. (I already have so many questions!!!)

I would have kept going with the last two, but I think it's worth the suspense of waiting. If you're like me on that front you'll know how thrilling it is to stay on edge, or if I'm on my own here then... I'm not every sorry!
Still yet to start them and get lost within them, but thought I'd share some inspiration if you're looking for a new book to start. I'm hoping to do a full review soon so watch out for that.

Thanks for reading!

NEW: Soap and Glory, Sugar Crush & Up-Toned Girl | Review 2018

Sugar Crush Body Buttercream // Up-Toned Girl Body Lotion // Sugar Crush Body Wash

Soap and Glory are probably one of my most favourite brands to use when it comes to skincare. Throughout the years of posting on my blog, I have made it known how much I love it and that love is still very strong, even now. I needed some new skincare because I had somehow used all my products from Christmas. Venturing out to boots was definitely what I needed as I purchased my all time favourite scent from Soap and Glory 'Sugar Crush' and decided it was time to finally try something new of their ever-growing collection.

Up-Toned Girl Body Lotion - I'm very sheltered when it comes to trying new things because well, my skin is easily irritable and knowing what works well is easier than branching out. I decided to try this as my mum raves about it. After treating her to several products for Christmas and her birthday, I decided to pluck up my pride and try it. It definitely did not disappoint.
This lotion is my most go-to product whenever I get out the bath/shower and it smells incredible. Not only does it nurse my skin into feeling toned and looking radiant, but it also leaves my skin feeling so soft and I love it. Before using this, it was a skeptical debate because I have eczema on my arms and the wrong product can send it from 0-100 in a matter of seconds, however, 'Up-toned girl' did the opposite and since noticed a HUGE difference when it comes to how intact my skin actually is. Very impressed and I'll definitely keep this in my skincare routine.

Sugar Crush Body Buttercream & Body Wash - If you have read any of my previous posts that feature on my blog then you'll know how much the Sugar Crush range has me so enticed. I'm obsessed and each time I review this, my opinion never changes. What I will say is if you want to smell like a sweetie then use these products. I swear by them as they have nursed my skin back to health from when it was all dry and clogged (ew!) leaving a lovely glow afterward. Try it at least once in your routine and you'll notice a drastic change within your skin.

A Day at Craft and Dough, Sheffield | What is has to offer.

So, this year has been work and no play. Over the last few months, going out on "day dates" just wasn't happening due to different schedules for our jobs and it clashed week in week out. After organising a time for us both to just unwind and venture out to a new place, we finally did. With help from our family of course who kindly gave us a voucher to try this lovely restaurant out.

Craft & Dough - Sheffield definitely fulfilled my expectations over how the atmosphere/setting was, how lovely the staff was and how great the food & drinks are. I'm very sheltered when it comes to branching out on food, due to my intolerances. However, when at Craft & Dough, I thought... screw it, let's try something new!

As you can tell by the title 'Craft and Dough' they do some great tasting food/drinks, especially pizza and everyone loves pizza...right?
Anyway, It took me a good amount of time to decide whether to stick with what I know or jump out that good ol' comfort zone and try something extraordinarily different - Like come on... who puts tandoori chicken with BOMBAY MIX ON A PIZZA?! These guys do & it was definitely a songs of praise moment for my taste-buds, no lie.
The Pizza itself consisted of; Tandoori spiced chicken, Raita, Coriander Relish, San Marzano Tomato, Bombay Mix and Fresh Coriander... and if you like Indian food, this is the closest thing to happiness that you'll get to. The ingredients worked well for a cool yet spicy flavour and usually, I wouldn't put as many daring ingredients like these on a stone baked pizza but it works and tastes out of this world.
I also branched out on the wine I had too and white wine to me isn't my go-to but Vistamar Sauvignon Blanc kept me in a trance of happiness; it wasn't too sweet or too dry, it was somewhere in the middle. I'd definitely recommend anyone to try it, I think it's from Chile... could be wrong ha.

My entire experience here was like walking through heaven and it's very rare I say that about any place I go to, since it's so rare. I'd definitely go back to try different event nights/food and drinks they offer and just to feel cosy in the atmosphere again. The options of food and drink are a great selection, if you're not really into wine... look at craft beers, cocktails and other amazing stuff they have to offer. Their menu is a nice variety and suits the needs of all, especially since they have a gluten-free alternative too!

If you need a new place to go, then go here as it's a perfect place to spend your day/night with your partner, family or friends. It's very modern/cosy/appealing as you can visualise from the photo's above. There are different events to try, you can do Cocktail Masterclasses, Pizza Making classes, I mean... What's not to love about a place like this? Couldn't recommend it more if I tried!

I'll link the website for Craft & Dough here

It's all about JUNE - Gemini Season

All photo's within this post belong to Jade Kelly @ Just me, Jaydee.
If you've never heard of the term "Gemini season" then let me keep this simple, it's the month where all the Gemini babies/ drama queens/ best personalities ever (haha) were born! ;)
June was a good month for me, I turned 24 at the beginning and got to do some pretty cool stuff. This post has been long overdue hence why it's sooooooo late. I love having my birthday in the early summer season because it opens up more opportunity to do more and socialise more especially since everyone more or less spends every weekend in a beer garden, which was the case around the beginning of June.

I wanted to share a few highlights of June to slowly come back to writing again.
So, I'll list 4 of my favourite moments. Enjoy!

I turned 24 - Most people say once you go past the age of 21 it goes downhill from there. Sometimes I think this is the case whenever I'm in a rut but honestly, your 20s are the best period of your life as you become your true self. Although for me, I'm still a 6-year-old at heart but there we go. My birthday weekend was pretty cool, even if three days off work didn't give much time to celebrate properly, I still enjoyed myself and welcomed in being old... I mean 24 is young still, right?

9th June 2018 - SAW TAYLOR SWIFT LIVE!
Crazy fact, I've never been to see anyone live before, well not someone who makes me super happy. I was in the process of seeing forever the sickest kids back when I was 18 but due to difficult circumstances it never happened but hey, that's a story for another day!
On June 9th, I and my best friend travelled to Manchester after 4 years of wanting to see Taylor Swift live. We made it happen after months of preparation and got some crazy good seats I must say. Being in the stadium at the scheduled time (5pm) buzzed up my excitement and made the whole atmosphere so emotional yet so magical. The experience as a whole was amazing, the support acts Camila Cabello & Charli XCX were out of this world, fabulous. I was like "whoa, oh my god" and had goosebumps haha. Then when Taylor Swift came on, the atmosphere felt so uplifting, positive and just so surreal. It felt like cloud nine which is a pretty intimate feeling, it was so enjoyable. The entirety of my row was stood up dancing, if not on their own then with each other and we encouraged other rows behind us to join in. The night as a whole was flawless. I've always watched Taylor's tours on Youtube, but to be in the audience of her Reputation Stadium Tour was insanely perfect. It has to be one of the BEST experiences of my life so far, I was left amazed for days up on my little cloud and didn't want to come down! Definitely one of the best moments of 2018 too, and there have been some amazing moments throughout this year.

"A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life." - Coco Chanel.

My biggest fear is having my hair cut by someone so inexperienced and hating it. However, I've never actually come close to that throughout my life when trusting someone to cut my hair. In June, I decided to have my hair cut because it was driving me insane. It was quite dead on the ends and with summer coming around, it needed a make-over/ new style that wouldn't drench me in sweat too (ew). Ever since I've been able to wash it more, style it, manage it and most of all, it's so much lighter and doesn't fall out as much. I guess that's a good positive! It's true what they say, once you cut your hair you begin to change other things in your life too.

"It's a beautiful day to save lives". - Dr. Derek Shephard.

So a year ago, I decided to sign up and donate blood as I wanted to help people and make a difference. Each time you make a donation, you're informed about where your blood has been sent. I've donated three times in total as it takes up to three-ish months for your body to restore the litre of blood you previously donated. My experience the last three times have been somewhat different, to say the least.

1st Donation - Long story short, I went lightheaded. It's common in a lot of people donating the first time and it's okay because the blood carers are amazing. I just hated the fact all eyes were on me because I felt faint, but I recovered after having a cold drink and something to eat and resting when returning home. Don't let that put you off though if you're wanting to do it, just keep in mind that you're potentially saving a life.

2nd Donation - This donation went well, I couldn't bend my arm for two days but there were no major repercussions which made a nice change.

3rd Donation - I tried being funny when sat in the chair to distract myself from how nervous I felt although I'm rather unsure as to why. It took five and a half minutes for my blood to be donated which in my last experience that is a record time! In recovery, I did everything that was expected and felt fine which was good. As soon as I got home that's when it went a bit south. It began when I felt lethargic, dizzy and just wanted to vomit... in the end, deciding to go straight to bed and slept for around nine hours and the following day I must've been awake for three hours then felt sleepy again, sleeping for a further four hours and then felt back to my usual self.
The whole experience was strange, but I'd do it all over again if it meant I got to help someone. My third donation was issued at Leicester infirmary for a blood transfusion. Very much in awe and hoping it helped someone who was in need. I guess you can say I took a negative experience and turned it into a positive one, which goes a long way!

June was a good month and these were my highlights of it.
Hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it :)

Thanks for reading!

What's on my wishlist? #2 | BooHoo | 2018

It's certainly been a while since I did a clothing wishlist.
BooHoo is my go-to/top favourite online clothing website. I've never struggled to fit into their clothes as their sizing is true to what they promote, the fitting of the clothing hugs your body and the quality is so good. I've learned that my fashion choices are very different to other peoples, but I enjoy the fact that although fashion is changing, I have my own little trends going on, which makes me feel ultimately confident. Everything that is shown will be linked below :)

It's all about "if it's comfy, it'll do" for me when it comes to clothes. I feel like the casual look is more fitting to my personality as being too bold scares the life out of me. Although, different colours are finally making an appearance to my wardrobe so that's a plus! I am hopefully going to try new styles along the way to liven up my outlook on fashion.
You can't beat a "nice top and a pair of jeans" can we girls? haha. I wanted to take a risk and stretch my style branch out a little bit. Although, these three numbers would look great for a family event, date night or drinks with friends. Personally, I reckon the second one would be perfect for an interview for that job you want.

I like to hide away my body in black clothing as I'm not 100% happy with my figure at the moment. Long story short, most of my black tops made it to the "charity" pile whilst I was moving so I'm definitely in need of some nice, smart/casual tops and dresses to liven up my wardrobe as at the moment, it holds clothes that I've had since my first year of University which was 5 years ago now (holy wow!).

Whenever I'm on BooHoo, I always go to the dress tab first. I love dresses, my collection was once HUGE but unfortunately, when they start to grow too big for you, it's time to say bye. These three dresses have made me want to jump with happiness as 1. they're in my size, 2. I think they'd look alright in the Spring/Summer months & 3. They are incredibly gorgeous. Very plain yes, but it gives me so many ideas on what to add to it, dressing it up or down, can't go wrong!

A girl can never have too many jeans right? I have about 3 pairs currently which makes me so eager to get more. My style of jeans/trousers are so here there and everywhere that even I don't know if I have a particular aim with the fashion choices that are selected, but ah well. I guess if they look nice and are comfy then it's a winner! These above are definitely the type of styles I'm hoping to merge into my small collection.

My wardrobe lacks smart clothing, it really does. I came across these items and instantly fell in love. The grey and mustard dress (right) is so nice but the red one (left) caught my attention and I love them both. Good job this is just a wish list, for now, so I don't get ahead of myself and buy everything ha!

I've never really been one for bodysuits but as I want to try and tone up and wear more things that are a slight risk to my wardrobe, this bodysuit definitely stood out for me. With a nice pair of jeans, booties and the jacket on the right, it would make a killer outfit. Well, in my head it would.

Last but no means least, booties are my FAVOURITE type of shoe. I always find it super difficult to find ankle boots that actually suit my style and fit my clown feet (I'm a size 7, crazy!). In summer or when going out for a few bevvy's these type of boots are my go-to with most outfits; dresses, a nice top and jeans, jumper and jeans etc. you name it, I wear it. Payday is going to be one nice day that's for sure ;)

What's your favourite item currently on your wishlist? :)

September Favourites | 2017

Photo credit: myself. Edited on: befunky.com
September was a crazy busy month. I had no time to sit down and blog, which is honestly quite upsetting as I love writing. When it hits you that you abandon what you love, it's like a brick being thrown at you. Quite shattering. But anyways, I have a few very random favourites to share so here goes;

Simple wipes & Vaseline Lip balm: I must've used these religiously since being in hospital mid-September as I couldn't bathe properly after my surgery so using wet wipes and creams helped keep my skin from looking dry and flaky.
Vaseline cocoa butter became my best friend in recovery. Even more so when I was rushed into hospital during my recovery (I will do a separate post on this)

Dove Shampoo and Conditioner: Having long hair is great until you need to wash it and keep on top of the natural colouring coming back through. Usually, if I use a shampoo and conditioner for ages it will make my hair so dry and it feels horrible. Since using Dove for my hair as a trial, my hair has felt amazing.

Favourite Youtube Channels: Recently I have been loving fitness channels. I want to get back into training in a gym as the last time I did, the only thing I benefited from it was a stronger body... I did lose weight but I gained it back. Ever since it's been up and down and watching these ladies have inspired me to track my journey.
Photos belong to @Megannfitmusic (left) & @Busybeecarys (right)
The Walking Dead: What can I say... my boyfriend is obsessed and has been trying to get me to watch this for the 7 months we've been together. Safe to say, I caved. Never thought I'd get so into a zombie apocalypse television show, but it happened. No regrets. It's so addictive, so well written and the plot/twists just leave my jaw dropping. It is quite gory but it's hard not to press "next episode" when one finishes. I'd highly recommend anyone who is wanting a new television show, to give this a whirl. You won't regret it!
Photo belongs to google.com
Sheffield United vs Sheffield Wednesday - Football madness: Things you do for love... haha! I like to keep my other half happy, even if that means getting involved watching his favourite team play. During my recovery from my operation, we put the football on and more or less consisted of me screaming at the television. Not only did we have pizza, cuddles and quality time, but it was one of my favourite things to be involved in something my boyfriend is so passionate for. Was definitely one of my all-time favourite moments.
Fostering kittens: An opportunity came along at beginning of September. I fostered three kittens and their momma that had been abandoned. I do home-care for my job and came across these beautiful babies at a clients house who unfortunately is quite unwell. I and another carer, who is one of my closest friends, decided to act on the fact these kittens needed a temporary home until a shelter could take them. So that's exactly what we did, we took the kittens and their momma to my home and brought them back to health. The momma cat wouldn't stay in but she would always come back to check on her babies, it was adorable. I ended up naming them all, we decided to call momma cat Lola as it suited her personality well. The kittens were named; Milo, Max, and Harvey. I fell in love, it's no secret. It was devastating giving them to the shelter, but knowing they are all being rehomed makes me happy.
Fostering an animal is such a rewarding experience. You receive unlimited cuddles & get to take photos, see below... Super cute. But knowing you're helping an animal is the best feeling in the world. I'd recommend fostering any type of animal as there is plenty that needs loving homes! Unfortunately, due to being in a shared housing property, animals aren't allowed although my landlord was pretty cool about having them stay a while. Everything happens for a reason right? Genuinely feel grateful for this experience.

All the bright places, By Jennifer Niven: After the madness of kittens was over and done with, I had to go in for surgery. I will most likely do a separate post on this as it was definitely a wild ride. However, in the process of my recovery, being bed bound was proven difficult as I'm quite the active person and wanted to go anywhere and everywhere. Somehow, my boyfriend managed to make me rest & discovered a new book which is literally the best read, especially when you get lost in the plot... so engaging. Sometimes it's a struggle to focus on a book, or I put it down and don't finish it for ages. Won't lie, this has happened more over the last couple of years/months, terrible habit for sure. The book is called "All the bright places". Not yet finished it but it's made me realise a lot about mental health and how much I actually relate to it. I'll hopefully do a post on this too when I've read it all, definitely worth a read.

Summer Train Watching | August 2017

Hola, everyone!
Throughout this month, we have had some mixed weather. One evening I had off work, myself and my partner decided to go and watch trains. I was so excited because they kept waving and pipping their horn ha. But alongside, I managed to get some beautiful photo's, see above.

**ALL PHOTOS ARE MY OWN, DO NOT TAKE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. If wanting to use any of these photo's then feel free to email me at jaydeekelly94@gmail.com for my permission.**

Doncaster ain't all that bad for capturing beautiful moments & it makes me happy knowing I have some well-captured photo's to look back on. They don't have nor need filters to visualise the beauty, the camera picked it up so well! It's become a regular occurrence to go to this little hideout for Trainspotting and quite frankly, it's amazing. Especially seeing my boyfriend beam at the fact he gets to see trains (he loves them) it's literally my favourite thing to do :) There's not really much to say, as the photos speak for themselves. Enjoy!

July Favourites | 2017

Hola, everyone!

July for me was a good month. I have a few favourites that I wanted to share so here we go. I discovered a lot of new things, binge-watched television programmes and even achieved some goals, explored and had fun throughout. July was exciting, to say the least.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Theory test - All passed and ready to move onto my driving test. Took a lot of preparation and my advice would be to study for it. It might be 'common sense' but you learn more testing yourself before going in for the real thing.

New job - So throughout July, my new job started a few weeks earlier than planned. It's been an experience that's for sure. Juggling two jobs and a social life does become difficult but what gets me through it is knowing that I'll have enough income coming in before my operation takes place, so it'll be a stress-free two weeks of recovery! :)

Donating blood for the first time - Donating blood has always been something I wanted to do & it finally happened. As a first timer, it took a while to actually get prepared. It took two attempts to actually have my veins cooperate. I've always had an issue with my left arm veins acting up with blood tests so imagine a bigger needle trying to pierce it. Because of it dropping, we moved over to my right arm and SUCCESS... blood was flowing nicely. Although afterwards, I started to become lightheaded even though I had plenty of water & food... IT STILL MANAGES TO GET YOU. So if you're donating blood for the first time, don't try and leave if you feel unwell. This lasted a few days for me but I had annual leave so wasn't too bad. I'm booked in again for the 19th November & I can't wait :) You can sign up here if you're from the UK: NHS Blood Donation

ESSENTIAL FAVOURITES

Soap and glory hand food - my hands get really dry, especially through my job as a carer... there's no avoiding dry hands especially when you have to wear latex gloves (or powder free ones). I am obsessed with soap and glory, that's no secret. If you're new to my blog then check out previous favourites in the popular section and you'll see I'm not joking.
I carry this hand food everywhere I go, it's definitely keeping my hands less dry and icky. Couldn't recommend the stuff enough. You can find it here: Soap & Glory Hand Food

Dulcolax Tablets - I have a funny stomach. It's so temperamental I never know what mood it's going to be in. I guess you can say that about me too, being a Gemini and all ;) ha, jokes aside... if you're having trouble with bloatedness and indigestion, then try these. Take one at night time and it'll work wonders... 1 every 3 days should be enough and it's such a relief afterwards. A safer way than any other laxatives too. £1 from Asda Supermarket, can't go wrong.

Simple Wipes - Kind to skin & Radiance - face wipes can be irritable if you have weird skin. Welcome to my world if you do. I started using Simple after using the face scrub over a year ago and found the wipes cleared my skin. These wipes gave my skin a natural glow and cleared the excess dirt from my skin and OH MY GOODNESS, they're amazing. Do try them if you're looking for something to clear your skin, these help for sure.

Vaseline (cocoa butter) - Ok fine, you got me... I need to look after my lips more as I'm known for scraping the excess skin off when they are overly dry. We all have bad habits & that's one of mine. Recently, after stumbling over this cocoa butter vaseline, it's been my go to lip care and couldn't be more happy with the results. My lips haven't been as dry and this makes me happy, very happy in fact. Even my boyfriend said it smells nice and I guess if he kisses me, that's good right? haha.

MAKE-UP FAVOURITES

Rimmel London - Wake me up concealer - Nothing is more Godly than this product. I kid you not, it's literally saving my bags from imploding on my face. Fact.
I haven't used many concealer's but I more or less swear by this and use it every time I wear make-up without fail. You can find it here: Rimmel - Wake me up concealer

Lasting Finish Kate Lipstick, shade 30 - Every girl has a favourite lipstick. This has been my favourite since second year at University (two years ago... crazy!) I don't wear it very often, only for nights out, date-nights & family gatherings. I like darker shades as they suit more for my make-up looks and skin tone. The title says it all, it's a lasting finish lipstick and stays on for hours. I do sometimes have to reapply but then again that's very normal. You can find it here: Kate Lipstick - shade 30

Velvet Kiss Lip cream, shade Caramel 2 - If you're picky with matte lipsticks/glosses you'll adapt to this one very well. For £2.99 you can't really go wrong. I do wear this quite often and even picked up another one recently as it's amazing. Nude colours with a caramel hint are literally the best to finish off a simple or sophisticated make-up look. I'm not expert but if it works, it works... right? You can find it here: Velvet Kiss Lip Cream

PERFUME FAVOURITES

I don't usually wear perfume very much & if I do, it's always my Taylor Swift one... But recently, pondering through my wardrobe, I came across my "Golddigga Pink" perfume. I've had this since Christmas... I think. So I have no idea where it's from, but I assume it's relatively cheap. IT SMELLS SO GOOD, no joke. I'd highly recommend this if you're into the 'sweet' smells :)

TV FAVOURITES

Night Shift - If you have Netflix, do give this a watch. I love programmes where they focus on different types of medical aspects. With this series revolving around veterans who have served their country, it's quite inspiring and a very interesting storyline. As an ex- film and television student, if a programme has a good storyline & good intense plot, I'm sold.

Suits - It's no secret that I admire the law lifestyle, well the lifestyle television projects it as. (it's more or less how I imagine it to be) Suits is so addictive, very informative and it's got perfect dramatised plots... I AM OBSESSED. A few years ago within second year at Uni, I was very uncertain about watching it, at first I could get into it. Within final year of Uni, it was my hangover cure every other day (student life for you ha). Ever since, it's become apart of my routine especially because season 7 is now out on Netflix #notsponsored. I am loving how Donna is stepping her character up into a more challenging perspective, it's nice to see her in the limelight for once. She is literally a clear representation of my personality... sometimes.

Grey's anatomy - Where do I start? Last summer (2016) I got obsessed and it was unhealthy. Because my hours at work wasn't as hectic, every day becomes a "Greys Day" for me, with a cheeky dominoes on the odd chill day haha. I think the most emotional part of it for me was when George died... Like I couldn't fathom why they did SO LITTLE to save him. It still makes me angry even though they did what they could, it just seemed like they gave up on one of their own so freaking quick. This is how much it actually affected me... if you watch this & you cried, lets be friends.

That's all I have for now & this post has literally taken me a week or so to write haha. Can't wait to share my August Favourites in the next week or so!

Sprotbrough Falls Day Trip | 2017

Hola, everyone!

After having a break from my blog, again, I have decided to come back and hit harder than ever. I will do more of a life update post further through the month.
At the beginning of June, I had the weekend off work & spent it with my partner by exploring parts of my hometown (Doncaster) as he's from Sheffield. If you don't know of these places, they're in South Yorkshire, England.
The photo's more or less speak for themselves, the place we went to is called Sprotbrough Falls and is so beautiful. I'd not been here in years, think the last time my family and I came here was back in 2005, I think. How beautiful is it though?! Better to go when the sun is shining as it's so admirable, as you can see.
England is known for the crappy weather, whatever that may entail. So to get heat-wave weather back in June was lovely and suited well for a beautiful, fun day out.

How handsome is he though?! Man crush every day <3

I didn't actually gain 6lbs ha, was worth it either way!

Before we went exploring we treated ourselves to a lovely meal and drink at the local restaurant just around the corner. All in all, it was a great day & I wanted to share the beauty of it on here.
Days out with this one are always fun and exciting. This year I've been more places around the Doncaster/Sheffield area than I had throughout my lifetime, I think haha. It's nice to be back posting, hoping to share more days out on my blog as they are exciting to write about :)
