Primark Wishlist #2 | April 2017

Hola, everyone!

So in January when I was posting quite regular before becoming extremely busy, I did a Primark wishlist and had so much fun doing it. I did actually get some of the products I listed because well, it would have been rude not to!! Here is my first wishlist, do check it out: Primark wishlist #1

HOMEWARE

As you can probably work out, I am a home-ware addict. Although I live in a shared house which I can't really decorate, there's no harm in future planning for my own flat, right? Well, that's exactly what I'm doing. Primark does the BEST home-ware for reasonable pricing too. I do have plans to go Primark in the next couple of weeks to explore and pick up the majority of the things above, I mean; they're so pretty to look at, don't you agree? Makes me super excited to actually get my own place in the near future!

CLOTHING

I'm no fashion expert, nor do I intend to be. If anything, I dress more for comfort and for my body type rather than to impress. I much prefer comfortable and trendy clothing, nothing to barbaric, but something a little different to everyone else. Browsing through the Primark Website was quite disappointing as their products are limited on there, so a visit to the store is definitely in order once I pay all my bills... (Priorities, right?) I LOVE everything I have chosen to show above, I can see myself wearing it all. Some smart, some casual, some comfortable bed wear. Can't go wrong really!!

ACCESSORIES

Again, as I've said above the website itself was limited to what was in store... BUT I found some things I freaking love, I've already bought the sunglasses as a few weeks ago I just fell in love. Seriously though, can we just admire the Prosecco lip balm though?! A M A Z I N G. Last year, I went into Primark and bought a backpack which was literally the love of my life... jokes aside it was my saviour but recently broke along with my heart. So I have been looking through Primark's selection and I only found two that could be a potential use for riding around on my bike as my handbag just isn't appropriate. What are your favourite accessories?

March | 2017

Hola, everyone!

I didn't really 'collect' much to have a favourites this month. So instead, I'm going to summarise some of the best bits that happened throughout March, something a little different :)

1. I got my first tattoo... did it hurt? No, I barely even moved/flinched when having it done. I chose this because I've been through hell and back over the last few years and having anxiety/depression lurking over me, sucks. So I wanted to have an upbeat, joyful tattoo to make me smile every day... cheesy right?

2. I learnt how to play Badminton - I never really learnt properly in school or in my own time how to play badminton. Having someone as patient as Ash willing to teach me made me happy. In the end, I was hitting the shuttlecock which to me, was a milestone on its own. :)

3. I fit into a dress I never used to fit into properly - I said in my New Year's Resolutions post that I wanted to shed a few lbs and feel confident in the process. Safe to say when this happened, I was beaming all day. I was chuffed. In November 2016 I weighed approximately 13 stone (I think) I now weigh around 10 stone 9lbs which is amazing. I still have a long way to go but this is a start.

4. Went back to play mini-golf -  I first went here when I broke my ribs in February (fell in my kitchen, wasn't my smartest idea) and I somehow won, which was great as I get really competitive. So going back a second time for a "re-match" if you want, was very refreshing. I enjoy mini-golf as I feel like it's something I'm good at and I like doing different activities. Was definitely a fun day as I won one game and the second game was a draw. However it's not about winning, it's more about the company you have that makes it fun :)

5. Mothers Day - So for Mother's day, I tried to be all sweet and stuff and surprised my mum with some presents. These flowers were actually from her birthday but they were this open on Mother's day, so so pretty!! Anyways, I asked my step-dad to take me to get her some little presents and ended up getting her a book, card & chocolates as well... what else can you get on a small budget? ha. Safe to say she loved them! & I got to see my Pepsi again. I introduced her in 2015 when I was in my final year at University, read that post here.

6. Pizza Date-night - Every night to us is date night, but this night really stood out for me. As I had finished work at 7 pm we wanted to spend the night together and unwind a little bit by making our pizza's which I have to say... WERE AMAZING. If you told me last year I would find someone who makes my life so much better, stands by me and supports me in absolutely everything, I more or less would have laughed in your face. But I have found a great guy, who I really do not deserve, at all. He's pretty special and I can't imagine my life without him now as he had made it so much better from the day he messaged me back. Cheesy I know ha...

7. My not so little nephew turned 1 years old - How did this even happen? I mean, He's not my little cuddle buddy anymore. He's now near enough walking, recognising me his favourite Aunty ;) lol & ahh! it genuinely melts my heart, it really does :) Can't wait until he running around everywhere and talking, I won't be saying that when it happens hahaha! Little cutie he is, literally makes me so happy :) I literally remember the day he was born, he was so tiny. I was so scared to even hold him at one point because I didn't want to hurt him and I don't handle crying babies so well ha! But each time we cuddled it was like our bond was developing -- can't wait to see the little monkey again! I miss his contagious little laugh so so so much :)

9. My favourite band acknowledged my tweet - This is a pretty big deal. YOU ME AT SIX FAVOURITED / LIKED MY TWEET like what. Just what. I love their new album and this one song "Take on the world" literally hits me right in the feels... so whilst I was fangirling the LIKED IT. OMG I'M STILL NOT OVER IT. It honestly made me smile like an absolute idiot :) I'm gutted that on the 7.4.17 - when they're in my hometown, I won't be able to see them perform as I have other plans and no money. Sucks big time, but I have this to latch onto in the meantime which is just as good :)

10. My happy place -  Lakeside, Doncaster. It's probably my favourite place to go running and walking, to clear my head. Especially at night time when it's not as busy. I literally feel so much better whenever I leave here. I definitely need to make more of an effort to go running again, probably when my ribs have fully healed. Definitely, something to look forward to :)

Tea Tree Witch Hazel Facial Wash Review | 2017

Hola, everyone!

I have found a new love for writing reviews. Although, I somehow manage to venture onto a new wavelength and totally go off topic. But yeah, I came across this Tea Tree Witch Hazel product through the one and only, Niomi Smart as she partnered with Boots. I saw her talking about it and I thought it looked good so when I was in boots last month, I picked one up. Without realising until I got home... which was a happy moment. Ever since I have been absolutely OBSESSED!

Tea Tree Witch Hazel with Active Charcoal - Daily Detox Facial Wash -
£4.55

When it comes to any form of facial wash, body scrub or moisturiser I really do struggle to find one that is compatible with my skin. As mentioned in several previous posts, I suffer from dry skin and when it's dry it gets irritable which really isn't good. Tea Tree Witch Hazel has actually cared for my skin better than expected. If anything it nursed my skin completely back to health and has never felt so soft. I managed to persuade the boyfriend to try it and even he was amazed, no joke.
What I like most about this product is the active charcoal which gently cleanses and attracts dirt like a 'magnet' as described on the casing. It draws out deep down impurities and excess oil without over-drying the skin or sending it to completely break out.

Step one - Wet hands and face with warm-ish water and apply the product in your hand, preferably your fingertips as it gets really messy. Leave on for about 3-5minutes as it's giving the charcoal chance to work its magic.

Step two - After 3-5minutes has passed, wash off gently with a flannel or your hands, whichever is more doable. I'd recommend the flannel though. Dry your face with a clean towel making sure any excess product comes off.

Step three - Apply any type of moisturiser to your face and let it sink in for about 5 minutes. Leaving it on all morning until your regular make-up routine(s) etc.

Step four - See the results. I mean, from this photo alone you can see how clear my skin looks just from a 10 minute morning cleanse.

I'd recommend using this product 2-3 times a week as it does your skin wonders and gets rid of blackheads and stop spots from forming also. Obviously it will have a different effect on different skin types but still, try it if you're looking for something new to add to your skin care routine. :)

Top 9 favourite YouTube channels | 2017

Hola, everyone!

As the Youtube community is rapidly growing, let's start from the beginning of how I discovered my top 9 most watched YouTubers. After discovering Zoe Sugg in 2014, I have discovered a large range of people that have enjoyable content worth watching, especially vlogs... I am a vlog addict! It was very hard to narrow it down to 9.. but I thought I'd include some people who deserve a lot more recognition than they actually get as well as the ones I have watched from day one. I will try not to fangirl too much & all opinions are my own!

Back in 2014, I was at university procrastinating like every student does (if you don't are you really a student..?) and happened to stumble across youtube and some fun channels. Zoella was one of the first channels I enjoyed watching and eventually subscribed after viewing a few of her video's.
Back then I wasn't one to do my make-up or hair properly as it was something that didn't really cross my mind, but watching her content encouraged me to try new looks, new makeup and more or less to give some stuff out my comfort zone a try. I definitely don't regret it as since discovering her channel I've been more open to trying new products and even sharing my own opinion on here. What I like most about Zoe is the fact that she doesn't post the same stuff and even if she does, she makes it really chatty which is something I love about youtube videos if they're chatty and fun you've got my attention. I also love watching her vlogs as they always cheer me up & love watching people film their life... Definitely, something I'd love to do as it's an amazing thing to look back on.

Since everyone is doing channels/blogs revolving around beauty and fashion, discovering Niomi was definitely what I needed in my life. Firstly, she is so positive and active which is quite admirable, especially because of what she has achieved in such little time. Most lifestyle channels these days just consist of a few categories so watching Niomi's brings a different vibe to it.
What captures my interest is her recipes and fitness video's as they are just so intriguing. Recently as well, this might have been in her December vlog, Niomi brought to the surface a real-life crisis that was happening in Aleppo to her target audience which was inspiring to see as not many people who rise to fame these days do it without gaining something from it. From that, it just made me proud to be following her journey and lifestyle. So following someone who is so clued up with reality and who posts exciting and different is a definite plus, right? Do check out her channel, she deserves so much more recognition for her channel. If I could meet her to tell her this, it would make me happy. :)

I discovered Alfie after I subscribed to Zoe and little did I know at the time they were an item until I read Zoe's blog post... can you remember that? that's how long ago it was. Alfie posts some really awesome content, but I mainly watch his vlogs as like I said, I love watching people film their life and he definitely keeps his vlogs exciting and adventurous. I grew to love his personality more than his content at first as he's so goofy and charming, it's lovely to see. Not really into his gaming channel or his main one as much anymore, but his vlog channel is so great I'd definitely recommend for all to watch, especially if you like unique DIY videos. His positivity actually helped me a lot within 2016, don't know if anyone remembers this, but when he said he was going to do the 90 day challenge to do something different every day - this actually helped me get back on my feet and I can't thank him enough for suggesting that in one of his vlogs :)

I can't remember how I came across Roman, was probably through facebook when I saw a prank video that had me in hysterics. I believe it was the crazy plastic ball prank that captured my attention. After a while of watching his main channel, I discovered his vlogs which instantly had me hooked. Roman is one of them people that will make you smile day in and day out whenever you're feeling down so watching his vlogs did that for me especially during uni. He is most definitely one of those fun dad's and I'm extremely happy for his success alongside his beautiful family. Although his audience is mainly male figures, I really do enjoy watching the crazy stuff this man and his family do every day, it's lovely to see that in a few years they'll have so much to look back on, remaining grateful. It's inspiring to see people who have it all, do so much for others and give back to the community and if you watch Roman, you'll know about the Toy drive he and Brittany did either 2015 or 2016 (I can't remember) but it had a massive turn out. This man deserves all the success in the world for all that he does.

I had heard about Fabulous Hannah through a range of people such as Gabriella Lindley and Alfie Deyes, just mentioning her channel in their video's so I searched for her channel and safe to say it took me one video in to subscribe. I like the vibe she has when filming, chatty and confident... which is rare these days as most people are competing against each other to be the best. The most admirable people I watch are the ones who are confident with who they are and with the content they make. Instead of trying to tip-toe around everybody else in order to follow the crowd that has circulated within the youtube world along with all these ridiculous trends. Hannah seems very bubbly, my type of people to socialize with or just to feel some sort of escape when watching her content. She expands out of the beauty label as well, trying new videos and basically saying things how it is. The best type of people to surround yourself with in real life or web life, those who get straight to the point & don't sugarcoat anything. I'd highly recommend her for everyone to watch!

I've watched Gabriella properly since my final year at uni and I got to say, for a Yorkshire lass she ain't half bad. I mainly watch Gab's vlogs as I just get so invested in watching people's lives, makes me feel less crappy about my own whenever I'm having a bad day. I first checked in properly with Gabriella's channel when she made her 'honesty video and after watching that... well, let's just say I was a blubbering mess. No one online or offline should be made to feel that way, it's harsh and bullying has got worse especially when social media is involved. I did watch some of her video's before hand, but not as much as I do now & I'm glad because I've learned to appreciate her videos more. I can relate to Gabriella especially when mental health is involved because it's like watching myself in her when she's happy and when she's sad, it's bizarre. I don't fully understand why this girl gets so much hate, I admire her for her honesty as she doesn't hide the truth & she's hilarious, if you watch her vlogs you'll definitely agree with me. The only thing that did get boring at one time was the constant mentioning of her boob operation, just constantly mentioning it got a tad annoying but I still love her regardless. By far one of the most down to earth YouTubers I watch and she deserves so much success and happiness!

I've followed Ebony for years before I even had a youtube channel in order to subscribe. I can remember when she started posting covers, wasn't really my thing to watch but her voice is lovely to listen to. She also followed me on twitter as well a few years ago which made me insanely happy haha. Recently she has started doing a vlog channel and I get super excited for her vlogs as they're so full of energy and positivity. My favorite videos to watch of Ebony's are clothing hauls as I have followed her sense of style a little bit to liven up my wardrobe. I wouldn't have done that a few years ago, but I fancied a change. So much love for this girl.

I came across Jeanine through her video related to the break-up with her boyfriend. I don't care who is right or who is wrong, but it leads me to her vlogging channel which I have caught up on and her main channel which I adore. I love watching Jeanine because she seems pretty awesome. I love her clothes, her house and style of her bedroom in her new house... IT'S SO PRETTY. Eventually, I want to be able to dress and be as confident as she is and watching her video's pretty much encourage that. I just hope she is finally happy and enjoying her life instead of feeling crappy, I've been there too many times. Life is too short :)

I more or less discovered Chloe through searching for a workout video to watch when I wanted to ease myself back into it.. safe to say the one I chose was HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workout and it killed me at the end. Her channel is actually quite awesome and I just love her workouts. So easy yet really fun to take part in. Do check her out if you're wanting to improve your body like myself, but don't jump straight into an HIIT workout, to begin with, like I did, it will be a painful experience, to say the least.

January & February Favourites | 2017

Hola, everyone!

It's again that time to share what we have all been loving throughout the first and in my case, the second month of 2017.  I will try and link everything I can but some items were Christmas Presents ha. They're definitely super random, that's for sure! Sorry for the lack of posting recently, had a lot going on but now back to posting again!

If you have been following my posts throughout the times I did post content on/off for the last 2 years you'll know that I obsess over Soap and Glory... a lot. For Christmas, one of my friends bought me this soap and glory set and it's all I've been using throughout January. My favourite product is more or less the Hand Food as it smells so good. I take it everywhere, to work, to town, to my kitchen, everywhere haha.
The Clean on me is a really good shower gel, although after I used it my skin started to irritate so I eventually stopped using it when I figured it out. Love it regardless just don't think my skin does. Although my skin started to irritate using that one product, I tried to hydrate my skin again by using the Righteous Butter and OH MY GOD it more or less nursed my skin back to health. Amazing stuff. I'm still using Scrub of your life but so far I've been enjoying the freshness of it and how soft it's left my skin. Big heads up to whoever got me this, I've forgotten who haha, but it was a good surprise that's for sure :)

My mum seems to think I get stressed out easily with my job and tbh I have noticed that she's not wrong at all ha. So for Christmas, she surprised me with this BEAUTIFUL colouring book and I have not stopped using it. You can get them from pretty much anywhere in the UK such as; WHSmiths, supermarkets, Waterstones etc. But I have managed to locate this exact one from eBay and will link it down at the bottom of this post if you want to check it out!

Nak'd have been a brand I have a love-hate relationship with for the products they release. But recently I have picked up more packets of these delicious nibble bites than anything else I usually reach for. For me, this is a healthier choice and I have noticed that I've lost some lbs since the new year started and these do the trick to replace processed sugars and fats with energising balls of goodness :) Do try them, they're amazing!! I am still addicted even a month on haha.

Primark is probably one of those shops that I love and hate at the same time. More or less because whenever I go in with my mum and have no money I see so much I like. Then when I go back in everything I liked has gone, sod's law really. In January I was on the hunt for a necklace to wear for graduation as well as a dress. I didn't find a dress but I stumbled across this necklace and it was reduced so I snatched it and walked away very happy. I wear it so much and I freaking love it. I think it was £2 but cannot find it online so it must have been discontinued :(

I see so many people online that have MASSIVE makeup collections and then there's me with a little box of products that I use... safe to say I need to explore more when it comes trying out new makeup but at the moment I am stuck in my bubble of comfort. I actually chose this eyeshadow palette with my mum for a Christmas present and by time Christmas day came around I forgot I even chose it and was bouncing with joy when I saw it haha. My all time favourites to use are the Angel shade (2nd one in) Venice (3rd) Copper pot and sunkissed (5th & 6th). These are definitely my favourites to use and they blend so easily and quick lasting for a good length of time. Super affordable as well!

I must've spoken about my Graduation from January so much already (sorry...) but the day before my nerves kicked in and I needed some new makeup so I treated myself. I have some sort of trusting bond with Rimmel London products as near enough all my make up is by them. I can't really choose which is my favourite, but I have been enjoying the Rimmel London Kate Bronzer, Blush and Highlight Palette. I reach for it every day and I'm just in love with the texture and how easy it is to apply and blend also. The velvet kiss lip cream in the shade caramel 2 is heavenly to look at when applying regular makeup. It provides a bold touch to the makeup and compliments the lips as a whole, makes mine look so different. I love it.
I'll link everything down below!

Who doesn't like Taylor Swift? I've recently discovered this perfume in my wardrobe amongst a lot of others (I have a pretty big collection) and decided to start wearing it again. So so glad because it smells SO GOOD. I've had it for a few years and hopefully will get some more once I run out. Can we just admire the bottle? Purple with hints of gold glitter and writing... what's not to love? I adore it so much & it has been my go to perfume especially for date night with my now boyfriend :)

It's the little things that matter most to me, especially in the winter months. Although this damaged my stomach for the day, it was a lovely hot chocolate and definitely worth the pain. I can't drink milk at all anymore unless it's Almond milk... my body hates me haha. But how gorgeous does this hot chocolate look? I WANT ANOTHER but I can't :(

My mum is by far the cutest person ever. She wanted to make me feel somewhat loved on Valentines Day. I don't celebrate it and I wasn't with my boyfriend at the time, but I'm glad because it's one of those holidays that people waste money on when they should be treating their partner and loved ones/pets (lol) equally the same every day of the year, not just one day. But I did feel loved and well and truly merry with the bottles of wine. Her gift bag more or less sums me up as a person ha!!

Date night #1 - This is in my favourites because it was one of my favourite nights throughout February. I had the chance to wow my date and I think I did because he's now my boyfriend (i love saying that) so we decided to go to Relish in Doncaster - best decision ever! We had a lovely time, listening to live band music (it sounded like 50s swing, I loved it) and got to know each other over a lovely meal and walk afterwards, it was beyond perfect. One of the best nights ever that I'll embrace for a very very long time :)

Date night #2 - To me every time you spend time with someone, that's a date. We went bowling and I sadly lost 3 games... but my date being the great guy he is, let me win one at least. He will argue this into the ground and say he didn't, but he did ;) It was such a good night because although we had quality time to get to know each other properly, we bonded over something fun and chilled out. I couldn't be happier and wanted to document this to look back on :) I think I'm the only person thrown by there only being 28 days in February as I'm not willing to accept that we are now in March!
