Goodbye 2018 | Thank you.

2018, well... What a year you've been. I've definitely had some wonderful moments with some great people. I've too, have had a wild ride down to the worst of what life has to offer too. But in the end, it's how you rise and stand your ground, right?

It's most definitely been a rollercoaster of a year and here's why;

  • I got to see 3 INSANE concerts; Speaking in Shadows, Taylor Swift & You Me At Six, three of the most amazing nights of my life!
  • Passed my driving test, although my confidence is a bit shaken from an incident on the motorway, I'm determined to get on the road in 2019!
  • I turned 24... now I'm halfway to being 25 and still getting ID'd for energy drinks and paracetamol haha! It's funny because everyone has a shocked reaction realising my age... :-)
  • My mental health got really bad to the point I lost myself. Now in therapy, I'm discovering who I am again and couldn't be more thankful to be here. It gets better, it really does.
  • October took a turn for the worst when I was rushed into hospital because of an ovarian cyst rupture causing me to have surgery and two weeks off work... hardest time of 2018 but very very thankful for it.
  • Despite a difficult year trying to learn how to live together, I and my partner had our second Christmas together in our first home. Not only that but got to spend our time with family too, which was very very much needed!
I'm thankful for you 2018, you've not been all that bad but that's life. I could keep going as this year has brought plenty of smiles and tears, ups and downs but overall, I am glad to be here, to see in another New year. So let's make it a good one.

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND ALL THE BEST FOR 2019

Hello Autumn!

Autumn has to be one of the most picturesque seasons of the year! All those brown/red leaves on the trees/ground are what get me jumping up and down like a child in a sweet shop. I feel like around October, I start to really feel at peace. Not only are we approaching the end of another year (how quick?!) but it's nice to be inside all cosy on the darker nights.

I love Autumn for more reasons than I can list, but I usually get inspired to go out and take photos, have more baths just so my bath bombs get used up and generally because I love to wear Autumnal lipstick and huge jumpers. Being snug and warm is what matters most around this time of year as cold gets to me so easily ha!

A few things that I want to do throughout Autumn are;

Donate to the homeless charities in my area - At this time of year, it makes me sad to see loads of homeless people out on the streets. Every morning, I go past loads on the bus and it brings tears to my eyes. My biggest goal throughout the last 3 months of 2018 is to donate clothes, money, food/drink etc to those in need. I couldn't imagine how alone and isolated they must feel. I'd love to one day open up a homeless shelter and provide those in need with a nice warm place to call home and help them back on their feet.

Carve a Pumpkin - It's crazy to say, I've never actually done this... haha! I see all the photo's of peoples pumpkins and it makes me want to feel part of the creativity and carve my own. Then it can sit in my window and look pretty :)

Take some outfit photo's for my blog - Personally, I feel like my style around Autumn time is definitely on point. Baggy jumpers, jeans and booties... can't go wrong haha! I haven't really done OOTD on here so I want to bring that in as it's what I love reading about on other people's blogs so why not incorporate it into mine.

Go for long walks - I'm already an active person and I love walking, especially when its dark out and there aren't too many people around. My goal is to go for a walk whenever I'm not at work and nail at least 20,000 steps as I feel unsatisfied with this recently.

Decorate my flat Halloween-esque - Seeing loads of my favourite YouTubers get excited for Halloween has that effect on me too. Just picture it, buntings of Halloween designs, candles, pumpkin ornaments, spooky decorations... urgh I LOVE IT. It would also give my flat a bit of life too it, as at the moment it's a bit dull.

Go to the gym more often - I'm one of those people who will moan about not having a gym membership to then get one and never go... *facepalm*. Recently, I've stopped going due to my anxiety and it usually takes hours for me to push myself. I don't know why I feel so embarrassed when it comes to working out. You know when you're in the gym and you feel like everyone is watching you and they're not? that is a massive reason why I try to put it off as often as I can then moan when my weight isn't going down haha. My aim is to start going again and just focus on the positives that will come of it. I will probably still struggle when it comes to my anxiety, but oh well.

What are your goals for Autumn or the rest of 2018? I'd love to hear. :)

NEW: Soap and Glory, Sugar Crush & Up-Toned Girl | Review 2018

Sugar Crush Body Buttercream // Up-Toned Girl Body Lotion // Sugar Crush Body Wash

Soap and Glory are probably one of my most favourite brands to use when it comes to skincare. Throughout the years of posting on my blog, I have made it known how much I love it and that love is still very strong, even now. I needed some new skincare because I had somehow used all my products from Christmas. Venturing out to boots was definitely what I needed as I purchased my all time favourite scent from Soap and Glory 'Sugar Crush' and decided it was time to finally try something new of their ever-growing collection.

Up-Toned Girl Body Lotion - I'm very sheltered when it comes to trying new things because well, my skin is easily irritable and knowing what works well is easier than branching out. I decided to try this as my mum raves about it. After treating her to several products for Christmas and her birthday, I decided to pluck up my pride and try it. It definitely did not disappoint.
This lotion is my most go-to product whenever I get out the bath/shower and it smells incredible. Not only does it nurse my skin into feeling toned and looking radiant, but it also leaves my skin feeling so soft and I love it. Before using this, it was a skeptical debate because I have eczema on my arms and the wrong product can send it from 0-100 in a matter of seconds, however, 'Up-toned girl' did the opposite and since noticed a HUGE difference when it comes to how intact my skin actually is. Very impressed and I'll definitely keep this in my skincare routine.

Sugar Crush Body Buttercream & Body Wash - If you have read any of my previous posts that feature on my blog then you'll know how much the Sugar Crush range has me so enticed. I'm obsessed and each time I review this, my opinion never changes. What I will say is if you want to smell like a sweetie then use these products. I swear by them as they have nursed my skin back to health from when it was all dry and clogged (ew!) leaving a lovely glow afterward. Try it at least once in your routine and you'll notice a drastic change within your skin.

A Day at Craft and Dough, Sheffield | What is has to offer.

So, this year has been work and no play. Over the last few months, going out on "day dates" just wasn't happening due to different schedules for our jobs and it clashed week in week out. After organising a time for us both to just unwind and venture out to a new place, we finally did. With help from our family of course who kindly gave us a voucher to try this lovely restaurant out.

Craft & Dough - Sheffield definitely fulfilled my expectations over how the atmosphere/setting was, how lovely the staff was and how great the food & drinks are. I'm very sheltered when it comes to branching out on food, due to my intolerances. However, when at Craft & Dough, I thought... screw it, let's try something new!

As you can tell by the title 'Craft and Dough' they do some great tasting food/drinks, especially pizza and everyone loves pizza...right?
Anyway, It took me a good amount of time to decide whether to stick with what I know or jump out that good ol' comfort zone and try something extraordinarily different - Like come on... who puts tandoori chicken with BOMBAY MIX ON A PIZZA?! These guys do & it was definitely a songs of praise moment for my taste-buds, no lie.
The Pizza itself consisted of; Tandoori spiced chicken, Raita, Coriander Relish, San Marzano Tomato, Bombay Mix and Fresh Coriander... and if you like Indian food, this is the closest thing to happiness that you'll get to. The ingredients worked well for a cool yet spicy flavour and usually, I wouldn't put as many daring ingredients like these on a stone baked pizza but it works and tastes out of this world.
I also branched out on the wine I had too and white wine to me isn't my go-to but Vistamar Sauvignon Blanc kept me in a trance of happiness; it wasn't too sweet or too dry, it was somewhere in the middle. I'd definitely recommend anyone to try it, I think it's from Chile... could be wrong ha.

My entire experience here was like walking through heaven and it's very rare I say that about any place I go to, since it's so rare. I'd definitely go back to try different event nights/food and drinks they offer and just to feel cosy in the atmosphere again. The options of food and drink are a great selection, if you're not really into wine... look at craft beers, cocktails and other amazing stuff they have to offer. Their menu is a nice variety and suits the needs of all, especially since they have a gluten-free alternative too!

If you need a new place to go, then go here as it's a perfect place to spend your day/night with your partner, family or friends. It's very modern/cosy/appealing as you can visualise from the photo's above. There are different events to try, you can do Cocktail Masterclasses, Pizza Making classes, I mean... What's not to love about a place like this? Couldn't recommend it more if I tried!

I'll link the website for Craft & Dough here

My Take On 2018!

I can't believe how crazy this is... It's September next week. This year has definitely flown by so quickly and has been somewhat amazing yet odd as a whole. It's like we blink and then it takes off before you're even ready for it, like a plane for your life. c r a z y.

2018 so for me has been a good-ish one. I mean, I'd be lying if I said there weren't hard times that has arisen because there were, but as a positive, it's been a memorable year to achieving so much & ticking off things on my bucket list! I think putting too much pressure on yourself to "have a good year" always makes it so dull in my opinion, but this year I've taken steps forward that I had really bad anxiety towards but once I did it, that was it. I was a woman on a mission and determined to keep going!

One of my best moments so far is passing my driving test, you can read my excitement in a post here. I managed to conquer my fear of shit examiners, anxiety and the attitude of "If I fail, I'll give up". I mean even though quitting was going to be it for me, my instructor certainly didn't let that happen (thank you, Stuart!). Since then, I've done a few long drives to Hull & Leicester for a few trips out which were also very great as always. The only downside was having my confidence shattered by some numpty on the motorway, but I'm determined to continue driving as all this would have been for nothing & I am NOT giving up as I love driving and it makes me so at peace with so much in life. Can't wait to drive again for sure :)

A few things I've also achieved:
  • Got my first passport & looking at booking my first getaway (YAY!!)
  • Got an interview for a few jobs!
  • Moved into my first flat, I love it.
  • Read more (this is a big thing for me haha)
  • Did things out of my comfort zone - driving on the motorways for a start!
  • Making a difference at work - my 1-1 has made me a better person.

How has 2018 been for you? I can't believe August is nearly behind us. It's crazy. I have loved making memories this year and my heart is full. I'm excited to round up 2018 as a whole at a later date but wanted to share some positive points on here :)

It's all about JUNE - Gemini Season

All photo's within this post belong to Jade Kelly @ Just me, Jaydee.
If you've never heard of the term "Gemini season" then let me keep this simple, it's the month where all the Gemini babies/ drama queens/ best personalities ever (haha) were born! ;)
June was a good month for me, I turned 24 at the beginning and got to do some pretty cool stuff. This post has been long overdue hence why it's sooooooo late. I love having my birthday in the early summer season because it opens up more opportunity to do more and socialise more especially since everyone more or less spends every weekend in a beer garden, which was the case around the beginning of June.

I wanted to share a few highlights of June to slowly come back to writing again.
So, I'll list 4 of my favourite moments. Enjoy!

I turned 24 - Most people say once you go past the age of 21 it goes downhill from there. Sometimes I think this is the case whenever I'm in a rut but honestly, your 20s are the best period of your life as you become your true self. Although for me, I'm still a 6-year-old at heart but there we go. My birthday weekend was pretty cool, even if three days off work didn't give much time to celebrate properly, I still enjoyed myself and welcomed in being old... I mean 24 is young still, right?

9th June 2018 - SAW TAYLOR SWIFT LIVE!
Crazy fact, I've never been to see anyone live before, well not someone who makes me super happy. I was in the process of seeing forever the sickest kids back when I was 18 but due to difficult circumstances it never happened but hey, that's a story for another day!
On June 9th, I and my best friend travelled to Manchester after 4 years of wanting to see Taylor Swift live. We made it happen after months of preparation and got some crazy good seats I must say. Being in the stadium at the scheduled time (5pm) buzzed up my excitement and made the whole atmosphere so emotional yet so magical. The experience as a whole was amazing, the support acts Camila Cabello & Charli XCX were out of this world, fabulous. I was like "whoa, oh my god" and had goosebumps haha. Then when Taylor Swift came on, the atmosphere felt so uplifting, positive and just so surreal. It felt like cloud nine which is a pretty intimate feeling, it was so enjoyable. The entirety of my row was stood up dancing, if not on their own then with each other and we encouraged other rows behind us to join in. The night as a whole was flawless. I've always watched Taylor's tours on Youtube, but to be in the audience of her Reputation Stadium Tour was insanely perfect. It has to be one of the BEST experiences of my life so far, I was left amazed for days up on my little cloud and didn't want to come down! Definitely one of the best moments of 2018 too, and there have been some amazing moments throughout this year.

"A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life." - Coco Chanel.

My biggest fear is having my hair cut by someone so inexperienced and hating it. However, I've never actually come close to that throughout my life when trusting someone to cut my hair. In June, I decided to have my hair cut because it was driving me insane. It was quite dead on the ends and with summer coming around, it needed a make-over/ new style that wouldn't drench me in sweat too (ew). Ever since I've been able to wash it more, style it, manage it and most of all, it's so much lighter and doesn't fall out as much. I guess that's a good positive! It's true what they say, once you cut your hair you begin to change other things in your life too.

"It's a beautiful day to save lives". - Dr. Derek Shephard.

So a year ago, I decided to sign up and donate blood as I wanted to help people and make a difference. Each time you make a donation, you're informed about where your blood has been sent. I've donated three times in total as it takes up to three-ish months for your body to restore the litre of blood you previously donated. My experience the last three times have been somewhat different, to say the least.

1st Donation - Long story short, I went lightheaded. It's common in a lot of people donating the first time and it's okay because the blood carers are amazing. I just hated the fact all eyes were on me because I felt faint, but I recovered after having a cold drink and something to eat and resting when returning home. Don't let that put you off though if you're wanting to do it, just keep in mind that you're potentially saving a life.

2nd Donation - This donation went well, I couldn't bend my arm for two days but there were no major repercussions which made a nice change.

3rd Donation - I tried being funny when sat in the chair to distract myself from how nervous I felt although I'm rather unsure as to why. It took five and a half minutes for my blood to be donated which in my last experience that is a record time! In recovery, I did everything that was expected and felt fine which was good. As soon as I got home that's when it went a bit south. It began when I felt lethargic, dizzy and just wanted to vomit... in the end, deciding to go straight to bed and slept for around nine hours and the following day I must've been awake for three hours then felt sleepy again, sleeping for a further four hours and then felt back to my usual self.
The whole experience was strange, but I'd do it all over again if it meant I got to help someone. My third donation was issued at Leicester infirmary for a blood transfusion. Very much in awe and hoping it helped someone who was in need. I guess you can say I took a negative experience and turned it into a positive one, which goes a long way!

June was a good month and these were my highlights of it.
Hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it :)

A DAY AT THE DEEP | April 2018

A day at THE DEEP was literally the best outing I've had this year so far. Not only did I get to embrace the beauty of these creatures, I got to drive on the motorway and go with two people who are very important to me. This may be a rambly post; although, it's nice to be back posting again!
The photo's I managed to take on my camera/iPhone are not the best quality but they captured some precious moments, to say the least. I also made friends with some of the fish so can't complain haha. As you can see below, there's such radiance within these photos and visiting the aquarium made me open my eyes to how beautiful our oceans once looked but how we can also see these creatures up close without going into the ocean.
Knowing that they are also well fed & safe makes my heart beat whole.

Penguins are in my eyes the most adorable animals ever. I believe that in my past life I was one as every now and then, walking turns into waddling. I managed to capture a mother penguin protecting/nesting her young while we visited their zone and it was the most beautiful thing ever. At first, we thought she was laying down, but we overheard someone saying she was laid on her eggs so even better, whether she was or not is a mystery itself! All the penguins were close by and even one cheeky chap stared at my camera for a brief second, when you see the photo you'll know! It was amazing to finally see them, despite a piece of glass dividing us.
We then went on to the Jellyfish and the underwater creatures which were also as captivating. I've never seen Jellyfish close, the first time I really saw one was in Finding Nemo and nearly cried when Dory got stung by one... other than that, seeing them up close was new for me but had me in awe when seeing them in their space. How beautiful are they?! Why are we hurting such beautiful animals with waste pollution in our oceans? This brings me to a very interesting point (see below).

Usually, I'm not one for seeing animals in aquariums or zoo's as I'm a bit sheltered at the idea that they should be in the wild, their natural habitat. Although, visiting the deep opened my eyes to a few things whilst being there. Yes, animals should be in the wild where they belong but the more you hear about how the species in the oceans and land are dropping massively, it's quite sad to know that mankind is damaging their homes as we speak.

It made me a bit emotional seeing a tank full of plastic bottles, milk cartons, wire, rope etc. and to know that and a lot more rubbish is putting these beautiful creatures in jeopardy is heartbreaking (see above). A photo speaks a thousand words as history once said, right? How does it make you feel to know there's 100x more pollution surrounding our oceans? For me, it makes me feel broken and devastated to know our planet is going to shit. Sucks, doesn't it?

If you don't believe how bad it is, a small percentage of the water we drink has a plastic within it. Think I'm lying? research it and you will see how we are not only damaging natures wonderful and beautiful creatures, we are damaging ourselves.

I've recently done a bit of digging and found some amazing charities that help our oceans get clean and protect the animals in it, here are a few that really captured my interest;
If you'd like to support any of these charities, then please do! After all, it's for a good cause and ensures that there are people out there making a difference!

On a more positive note... the animals I came super close with and the ones I did take photo's of warmed my heart and made me happy to be on the other side of their tank, more or less having a little bonding sesh, haha.

As you can see above, this little guy loved the attention and seemed happy enough. Although it's nice to see these lovely animals it's also intriguing to learn about them and their natural habitats in the wild too. I found that The Deep was very educational and is good for children to learn what they most likely won't learn in school.

Spending the day at The Deep was definitely memorable, although it made me feel a little uncomfortable with a big crowd, I managed to overcome that fear and went on to capture beautiful moments of animals I wouldn't have come close to see if it wasn't for this place.

Have you ever been to The Deep in Hull? If so, what was your favourite part?

Spring: A Few Things I'm Excited For

Spring is a good season to indulge in. I'm personally more of an autumn/winter kind of gal but I do love spring and summer months especially when I get to wear pretty clothes, burn in the sun and have nice long days with Strongbow in hand.

Photo cred: Jaydee Kelly (myself).
  • Brighter days - I'm all for long days with dark evenings but I do like the spring setting when all the picturesque views emerge too. Can't wait to go venturing around the countrysides in Sheffield and capture the beauty of different landmarks.
  • Clothing - I like spring clothes as the colours are always quite vibrant, I'd like to try new styles in order to produce exciting content on here - also it's nice to look back on :)
  • Home Decor - In spring there's much more to offer for home decor. I like to furnish my flat with as many sweet smelling candles as I can or get nice canvas' to fit the mood of it being spring. So excited to go shopping!
  • Activities - When warmer seasons come about, it seems there's more to do outside as it's more suitable for people to enjoy. This Spring I want to go hiking and see new places in my city and just experience new things to do. My biggest goal for the warmer seasons is to camp/hike around the Lake District as well.
  • Happier moods - If the sun is out, I'm smiling constantly. As I have a vitamin D deficiency whenever the sun is out, my mood is positive as my levels are higher. Weird, yes, but it makes all the difference and I can't wait. Although I don't really suffer badly in the winter months, it puts a positive spin on everything when Spring comes around.
What are you looking forward to in Spring?

What's on my wishlist? #2 | BooHoo | 2018

It's certainly been a while since I did a clothing wishlist.
BooHoo is my go-to/top favourite online clothing website. I've never struggled to fit into their clothes as their sizing is true to what they promote, the fitting of the clothing hugs your body and the quality is so good. I've learned that my fashion choices are very different to other peoples, but I enjoy the fact that although fashion is changing, I have my own little trends going on, which makes me feel ultimately confident. Everything that is shown will be linked below :)

It's all about "if it's comfy, it'll do" for me when it comes to clothes. I feel like the casual look is more fitting to my personality as being too bold scares the life out of me. Although, different colours are finally making an appearance to my wardrobe so that's a plus! I am hopefully going to try new styles along the way to liven up my outlook on fashion.
You can't beat a "nice top and a pair of jeans" can we girls? haha. I wanted to take a risk and stretch my style branch out a little bit. Although, these three numbers would look great for a family event, date night or drinks with friends. Personally, I reckon the second one would be perfect for an interview for that job you want.

I like to hide away my body in black clothing as I'm not 100% happy with my figure at the moment. Long story short, most of my black tops made it to the "charity" pile whilst I was moving so I'm definitely in need of some nice, smart/casual tops and dresses to liven up my wardrobe as at the moment, it holds clothes that I've had since my first year of University which was 5 years ago now (holy wow!).

Whenever I'm on BooHoo, I always go to the dress tab first. I love dresses, my collection was once HUGE but unfortunately, when they start to grow too big for you, it's time to say bye. These three dresses have made me want to jump with happiness as 1. they're in my size, 2. I think they'd look alright in the Spring/Summer months & 3. They are incredibly gorgeous. Very plain yes, but it gives me so many ideas on what to add to it, dressing it up or down, can't go wrong!

A girl can never have too many jeans right? I have about 3 pairs currently which makes me so eager to get more. My style of jeans/trousers are so here there and everywhere that even I don't know if I have a particular aim with the fashion choices that are selected, but ah well. I guess if they look nice and are comfy then it's a winner! These above are definitely the type of styles I'm hoping to merge into my small collection.

My wardrobe lacks smart clothing, it really does. I came across these items and instantly fell in love. The grey and mustard dress (right) is so nice but the red one (left) caught my attention and I love them both. Good job this is just a wish list, for now, so I don't get ahead of myself and buy everything ha!

I've never really been one for bodysuits but as I want to try and tone up and wear more things that are a slight risk to my wardrobe, this bodysuit definitely stood out for me. With a nice pair of jeans, booties and the jacket on the right, it would make a killer outfit. Well, in my head it would.

Last but no means least, booties are my FAVOURITE type of shoe. I always find it super difficult to find ankle boots that actually suit my style and fit my clown feet (I'm a size 7, crazy!). In summer or when going out for a few bevvy's these type of boots are my go-to with most outfits; dresses, a nice top and jeans, jumper and jeans etc. you name it, I wear it. Payday is going to be one nice day that's for sure ;)

What's your favourite item currently on your wishlist? :)

A letter to 26 year old me | 2018

Dear 26-year-old, Jade.

I'm writing you this sat at my dining table, after having a horrible day. I'm hoping you're smiling reading this and embracing the fact that you're happier than ever, without a care in the world.

How are you? I hope you're well. I hope your depression and anxiety is very minimal now you've moved on with life. If not, don't worry - you'll get there. You went through years of hell, you deserve to be happy and I'm pretty positive this is the case. I've always had faith that you'd find happiness, especially throughout the darkest days. Life has a funny way of testing you doesn't it?

I bet you got that job you wanted/dreamt about, making the big numbers and kicking ass every day showing people how great you are. Don't forget how much you've grown in the last three years, there's still a lot of work to do, of course. Just promise me this; Never lose sight of happiness or your dreams. Don't let anyone take away your smile & certainly don't take shit from shitty employers, that is in the past!

Pretty sure you're at your peak in life, whatever road you're currently down. It's exciting thinking about the future and what it holds. I have high hopes for you, Jade. Strive to be the best at everything you do and never settle for anything less.

26 eh? blimey, that went fast. I couldn't be more proud of where you are now. You've handled life better than I thought you would and I'm so proud.

What's next for you? I'd love to hear what 26-year-old Jade is doing and how she is.
Can't wait to hear from you.

Love always,
23-Year-old, Jade xxx

February Favourites | Go to Skincare, First Gig Experience & Cooking More 2018

For Christmas, Ash surprised me with an amazing gift set from The Body Shop and ever since I have been hooked. I have been loving the strawberry shower gel - the set as a whole is just admirable & I'd recommend everyone to use it. It has transformed my skin so so much & being cruelty-free, it relieves you of any breakouts from chemicals that are often used in beauty products, it softens any eczema that is visible on your skin and overall, makes the skin so smooth and soft it's like heaven. Through February, I found myself venturing out to new products that were very kindly given to me if I hadn't bought them when supposedly "browsing" in the shops.

Nivea Facial Wash - I stopped using facial wipes throughout winter as they were drying out my face so quickly and it caused my face to clog up and itch, so nasty! After using Nivea Facial Wash, my skin was fresher and less clogged up with dirt and impurities/dead skin cells. It was nice to let my skin breathe and has definitely relieved my skin of the excess dirt hiding within my face. If I had a UV light to show the state of my skin before, I think I'd be disgustingly shocked for sure. Since it's been my everyday facial wash and I daren't switch from it just yet!! Mandara Spa 'Amber Heaven' Nourishing Body Cream - This has definitely been my go-to moisturiser and my skin has been adapting to this body cream, especially on my face as it gets so dry! Throughout winter, dry skin happens to be the most common outrage on people's skin, so having this cream was definitely my saviour. Not only has it made my skin super soft, but it's made it more clear and radiant. After having so many compliments on how fresh my skin looks, I'd definitely recommend it to everybody!

Baylis & Harding 'Sweet Mandarin & Grapefruit' Body Butter - This isn't my favourite nor is it my least favourite as it lies in the middle. The very sweet, addictive smell is lovely and it cuddles my skin quite nicely. Not too suffocating and definitely allows the skin to breathe. Just applying small amounts does wonders for the skin, freeing it from all aspects of dryness, dirty and ruggedness. I can't seem to find it on the internet, but if there's an alternative, it'll be linked below. :)

Soap and Glory 'Smoothie Star' Body Milk / Body Lotion - My mum kindly gave me this when I lived at home for 2 weeks in January and it's probably my favourite product from Soap and Glory at the moment. Smoothie star has a combination of all things good in my opinion; Almond, Cocoa, Yoghurt, Oat and Honey formula really gives that "chilled night" vibe and smells out of this world! I can't stress enough how good these ingredients are together in one. If it does anything it'll bring your skin bouncing back and feeling elegant as ever!

For years, I had been wanting to go to a concert. When I was 18 years old, I and a friend was meant to go Forever The Sickest Kids in Birmingham, but unfortunately life got in the way and became unable to attend *cries* as my brother's car broke down... it was so disappointing and after hating the world all day, life went on. This year, I managed to secure myself and Ash a ticket to go see Speaking In Shadows on their farewell tour. Gutted beyond belief that they are going their separate ways, but what they're leaving behind (the music) is incredible and will definitely live on!! Seeing these amazing guys live after nearly 5 years of supporting them, I felt honoured to share the final experience with them in Leeds. It was heartbreaking, to say the least, but jamming out with them to one of my favourite songs Sweet Gemini the best moment I've ever had.

Last but no means least, I have been cooking more in my new flat!! It's so exciting because I've been becoming more confident in the kitchen, creating some exciting dishes for me and Ash to try. As you can see, it's nothing special but it's definitely healthy which is what I need after eating so many Mcdonalds! In the near future, it'll be featured on my blog on how I cook my meals so do keep an eye out for that chapter of my blog. I'm sure it'll be very fun to create fun content around my meals.

Thanks for reading!
